[IP] Re: Protective cap

If using a Sof-set, the needle of the tubing disconnect end is recessed and 
less apt to be contaminated for short periods of time for disconnect (bath, 
shower, sex). Also, the insulin has a preservative in it that acts much like 
an antiseptic as long as the insulin is moving through the end of the needle. 
if disconnected for long periods of time, and if you think the end may get 
dirty, the use the protective cap. If using Sils/Tender/Comforts, you can do 
the same with the cap that is in the package. When in doubt, choose to 
protect yourself.
