Sugar alcohols (like maltitol, xylitol, erythritol, and so on) are
digested -- more slowly than unmodified sugars, but still. Oh, and
in your example, the missing 25 grams would be sugar alcohols;
that is in the dose range that one uses to, ahem, "unblock" people
with chronic constipation.

Anyway, for sugar alcohols, take a slightly reduced bolus, perhaps
spread out a little -- eat a bunch and test, test, test to find
out what your BG does.
