 Michelle, I spill high ketones whenever my bg gets to 200 or more. My endo says
that's because I keep my bgs at near normal levels most of the time so I react
when they're higher. He told me if I ran over 200 on a regular basis, I would
not react that way.

 What I do when that happens is drink lots of fluids and correct. I take a bit
more insulin when high with ketones also because I usually need more to come
back down in that instance. If you are not eating because of the nausea, that
can also aggravate the higher ketone issue.
