Why is it not good for the body? I agree that reactions are not par but that
is temporary. I have tried to find reports on the problem with lows. All I
can find is the problems are temporally in nature, once the low is corrected
no more problems. The only permanent problems are when the low is in the
20's and unconsousness occurs.

Although it may seem that in the 40s you are functioning properly studies
have shown that reaction times and thought processes are not at par when the
BG drops this low. It is also not good for the body. If when you low target
is 90 you are going into the 300s you may need to change your basal rate for
that time period or change your Insulin to carb ration.
