522/722 and sensor kits are available everywhere in the USA (at least) as of
6/06. Insurance does not cover kit/sensors at this time. 522/722 pumps are
covered in accordance with one's insurance policy. In June sometime if you
still want to get the 722 Real Time you can Pathway for a much smaller amount
at that time if you qualify under Pathway rules. To see Pathway go to

  I just started on the Pardigm Pump 712. As such I was really interested in
  the continuous BG monitoring. What I found out is that insurance does not
  cover it. MM is only offering it in selected cities because they don't think
  they will get enough sales in smaller places. The sensor has to be changed
  regularly and is also expensive. It evidently is a good device. It is just
  out of the cost range for most people.
