Re: [IP] Emotional aspects of Diabetes

Heather,
I am go glad to hear what you said about depression. I am 43 and have
struggled with depression for a long time (especially during my divorce). I
have been on four different medications. The last was Effexor. My endo and
primary care physician both admitted they did not know alot about
medications for depression. So I decided to go to a psychiatrist that a
friend of mine was seeing (also diabetic) last week and she told me the
problem. I was not on enough Effexor. She recommended Effexor and Remaron
(sp?). But Remaron causes a "sweet tooth" craving. She said that wouldn't
be good for a diabetic! I am so glad I went to someone who knew what I
needed. I am hopeful and optimistic that this is going to work for me. I
have also been on the MM 508 since January 9 and am loving it. Wished I had
done it sooner. I have been diabetic 35 years. Thanks for your input. You
encouraged me!
