RE: [IP] stomach flu

I had a bad case in Feb. I was glad that I had the pump because I was not forced to deal with NPH I had injected hours before I felt sick. I was able to increase my basals by .1 per hour to start. I got the advice from the CDE. I checked bg every 2 hours and if it was high, every hour. It lasted about 36 hours. Bg finally came down after that length of time. Also allowed me to begin eating again at my own pace. Bolused just a little for the first few meals, then started getting back to normal.
Pump made it easier.

Has anyone had the stomach flu recently? If yes how has the pump or
diabetes affected it? Also, anyone know why some people who come in contact
with someone who's had stomach flu only gets a little side effect? ARe some
