Yeah, those alarms ARE annoying if you already know about the problem or
situation! My pet peeve is the hourly alert if you're running a
temporary basal! As if I didn't know I'd set it, and for how long!

But anyway, if you want to silence a MiniMed, disconnect and take the
reservoir out, then reset the drive arms as if there was a full
cartridge in there. The pump will think it's pumping and not make any
noise, and since your son was taking his insulin by shots, he didn't
need to have the pump on him, anyway.
