Not everyone starts out on saline. I was started right on insulin. My doctor
doesn't see the need for starting on saline.
I'm pretty happy about going right on insulin. The working of the pump
itself wasn't difficult at all-it was getting the basals and boluses and
effect of insulin. Many on here started on insulin-the saline starts seem to
be a newer phenomenom-But as we say on here YMMV.
