Re: [IP] Multiple kids- was RE:The Arrival of BabyZilla!

Hi there... diabetic pregnancies are hard. I have two perfectly healthy
children ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2. With my first... I was in hospital for one
month on complete bedrest on a drug called magnesium sulfate. This is a
muscle relaxer that was use to stop my premature labor. She still came 6
wks early, was on a ventilator and had to learn how to eat (no sucking
reflex) but she did awesome. She was 5 lbs 9oz, big for a preemie. Then
she was soooo worth it I decided I needed another lil one. Along came my
son, once again 6 wks preemie but no hospitalization this time. Bedrest at
home, then my water broke (all over my couch !) He did wonderful. Needed
no ventilator but stayed for a wk to work on eating and gaining weight. He
was 4lbs 13oz. Diabetic pregnancies are a lot of work... you must be close
with the doctor team and go often... like once a wk I was seeing one of my
docs. But in the end all worth it. I plan on having more. By the way...
got my pump when I was 4 months pregnant with my first. A1cs were down to
6.4 during my pregnancy.. Good Luck!! Jenni
