Re: [IP] finding higher am bs than pm bs

the normal bs at bedtime and a big rise by am is also the dawn phenomenon
going on esp if it seems more consistent every am
my daughters bs is around 100 at night and at 2 am it is 170 and a .7 bolus
given and then by 3-4 am it is 170 again with a .7 bolus given and then by 8
am it is over 300
i have checked this several times varying the hours of checking and even have
changed the basal rates to give more insulin during the night and change the
am rate starting at 5 am instead of 8 am and this has helped some and not all
the time though. occ she wakes up with a 115 or so so i don't want to change
the basal rates more, will just keep checking nightly when home and making
corrections with boluses as needed.
