Interesting... my trigger finger (actually a thumb) had not been involved 
(as far as I know) in any physical injury. In any case, I would still 
suggest talking to a doctor (I went to an orthopedic surgeon) before 
self-treating. It might be difficult to tell which flavor you have on your own.
