[IP] Corrections

The best correction to use is one that you calculate yourself based on your
own observation. To do this, give yourself a bolus of insulin, how much
your CDE told you to try. Then check your sugar about 2.5 hours later (for
Humalog pumpers). Subtract your ending sugar from your starting sugar to
see how much you dropped from a given bolus. Then, divide the amount you
dropped by the amount of insulin you bolused, and you have your number for
how much a unit of insulin drops your sugar. Be sure that you calculate it
several different times, since it will vary depending on activity, illness,
foods eaten, etc. But Jenna's is really pretty consistent at 1 :150, no
matter what we're bolusing for meals.
