 I may wait a little, but I don't like the cartridge capacity of my ping and
will probably get a new pump if I can find one I like. The Tandem looks cool,
but there's a reason they haven't commercialized it yet. There's more to selling
a pump than just getting the FDA clearance. They need a business plan to go up
against Medtronic and J&J; they need to set up a sales force, fight to get into
endos; get manufacturing set up, and set up help lines and support, etc  They
could be shopping it around too, looking for a partner. The insulin pump
business is a tight tight tight market. They're not going to do it if they can't
make money. I may dig into the financials a little bit more but, again, there's
a reason they haven't commercialized it yet in the US.
