My dtr and I went on a Thursday and stayed until Sunday afternoon. We stayed
at the BW. I just think for the hassle of changing places, it is best to
remain. Joslin pays for you to arrive at the BW but not for a transfer of
taxis, etc. They also pay your way back *from* the BW. Fares can be quite
high. I think it was about $30 one way. You get a voucher. The place was
*decent* and you will be out of the room most of the time so I don't think
it's a big deal.
Oh, take into account you will be walking about two blocks to Joslin from
the hotel and probably right after breakfast. My BG dropped during the
testing because of the extra activity (2 blocks?) and the stress. No one
told us, but there is a Food Court right off the lobby of the BW. Lots of
choices there - but Dunkin Donuts does not have toasted coconut ones. :-(
Have a good trip and report back to us.
BTW, there was a male DMer in Phoenix going 1/07 to Joslin. Did he go (was
that Don Stevens?)? I'd like to know how going to Boston in January was for
someone from AZ. ;-)
