[IP] airport metal detectors machine affecting insulin

Poppycock! The person who said that a technician told them that airport metal
detectors affect insulin is the biggest bunch of BS I have ever read. I have
traveled to many places and passed through many many magnetic detection airport
metal detectors. Never once has anything ever happened to any of my insulin, or
even my insulin pumps. Insulin is just a protien, so passing it through a
relatievly weak magnetic field would not denature it. Passing it through a x-ray
might not denature it either ( my bio chemistry fails me at this point). The
only thing that i am aware of that denatures protiens is heat. Maybe acid or
base soultions as well.

Tell the technician that he is full'o crap.

Happy pumping
