This sounds serious.  Your son: #1 is diabetic.  #2
diabetics tend to have foot problems more often than
non diabetics.  And there are too many to mention.  I
do not want to get into guessing games on the list
about what your son *might* have.  It is more
important to get a professional opinion as soon as

Good thing you already have an appointment with your
pediatrician.  I hope he has already given you some
advice for what to do until the appointment.  If not,
maybe an after-hours phone call might be in order.
