Kathy, the point is that you know for sure you are having it as another of 
the myriad of variables, that odds are your menses will start to become 
irregular or more so at some point.  It also then allows you to consider 
whether or not to start treatment such as soy, hormones, whatever. Plus, if 
a lady is in perimenopause, it does explain why she might have sweating at 
night, yet have glucose readings that are ok, not hypo.
