[IP] Hypoglycemic Unawareness Question

Subject: [IP] Hypoglycemic Unawareness Question

In my history of low blood glucose levels, one thing ( actually
a lot more than one) confuses me:

One time a bg level of 42 could follow having blacked out &
being treated by a first aid squad. Another time a bg of 28 might
follow a walk on the boardwalk & being quite conscious and able
to treat the low myself.

I understand how I can "miss" symptoms through hypoglycemic
unawareness. How does blacking out at different levels enter
into this?
