What of the old site do you leave in. Site plus tubing to quick connection or what?
> Pooling just refers to the insulin that has been delivered to the site and not yet absorbed fully into the tissues- Humalog and regular insulin takes approx 2-3 hours on average to be fully absorbed into the tissues whether it is given by pump or by syringe.  If you leave the old site in for a couple hours next time you shouldn't see that high bg spike that you saw this time, because by the time you pull it out all the insulin will have been fully absorbed.
