Re: [IP] Goiter in kids

I am more concerned with Stephanie having hypothyroidism more than I am
about hyperthyroidism. Most board certified peidatricians can help her get
the initial blood work for the appropriate diagnosis. You should not have
to wait 2 weeks for an evaluation. The turn-around time for thyroid
function testing is usually only 1-2 days.

I am glad you decided to axe the endo. There is no excuse for the treatment
you received. Talk with your pediatrician about other endocrinologists in
your area. I have found that subspecialists that are rude to my patients
usually do not provide the primary care doc good service either.

Good luck
