  Have you read the book PUMPING INSULIN by John Walsh yet?  This is an 
EXCELLENT MUST READ book for pumping and he has included a section on carb 
counting in there.  The newest edition is the 3rd and you can buy this book 
online through MM, Dis, B&N and Waldens Books.  Anyway, he has a few sections 
about carb counting, glycemic index, carbs and exercise, carb factors, carb 
counting scales.  This is a GREAT reference book and will be able to anser 
lots of your questions, now and in the future.  And of course you always have 
US on this list!
