Re: [IP] Poll: Do you bolus before, during or after meals?

I recently started on an Animas pump after spending 4 1/2 years on a MiniMed
507. While I was on the MM 507, I found that a similar square wave bolus
over 30 minutes was perfect. Without the 30 minutes, my insulin often
peaked too soon giving me lows before I was finished digesting; which were
eventually offset by highs. With the square wave, I found I needed less
insulin and was usually back under 100 two to threes hours after meals. My
A1Cs are in the mid 6s.

On the Animas, I haven't quite figured out the best method. The Animas has
a split wave that I think I will like. But I seem to need more insulin and
am not using a square or split wave as much. Over time, with lots of
testing, I'm sure I'll figure it out.
