I am not Jack, but my husband is a type II and he had severe sleep apnea
also.  He slept with his "gizmo" on his face THE ENTIRE night--probably
because he finally got such good sleep!  Has had his machine for 5 years and
it makes all the difference in the world!!!  I have found that the soothing
noise that the machine makes helpful to me in the extent that I have had
difficulty if the machine is off!!!!!!
