The MiniMed spaces the basal out over the whole hour, not all at once. I 
hear a little click every few minutes. If, for example, you are supposed to 
get 1 unit per hour, then if you disconnected for 1/2 hour you'd miss 0.5 
units. If you disconnect for 15 minutes, you'd miss 0.25 units, etc.
