Rona....Give her time..4 year olds are very aware of things that are the same
in their life....they are also aware when something is different or doesn't
look like something else..it is part of the learning process. If you offer
her a choice of cookies or crackers, she would most likely pick the ones that
are whole, not the broken ones. Rest assured, she is normal, and is looking
for things in life that are normal. She will get used to the pump. What you
did this evening is a good start. It's a new, unfamiliar thing in her life.
Also, if you are anxious about the newness of it, she will pick up on that
also. Let her know it is your friend (so to speak).
