did you investigate the motors?  MiniMed has a soleniod motor incapable of
over delivery.  Disetronic only has a DC motor.  both pump are only considered
water tight and must have stuff done to them to make them water proof.  also,
the buttons/pads on the MiniMed are less likely to be broken or punctured.
