You should not dilute insulin with saline. The ph is not correct and 
there are no buffering compounds. insulin should only be diluted with 
the mfg's dilutent solution. Each mfg has a slightly different compound 
that contains the specific buffers that are used with their insulin 
molecules. The stuff is free so there is no reason to use saline, 
water, etc....
