RE: [IP] UPS Delivery

In my area UPS has informed me that that they will leave packages without a
signature if no one is home. I have told them that I do not want anything
left but was told that there is nothing they can do.

I shoot on a pistol team and when my gun came back from being reworked it
had a tag that said 'Adult Signature Required'. They still just left it.
When I got home and found it I called ATF. They had agents that came, saw
the package and interviewed me. I do not know what has happened yet, but
when I send packages by Fedex of DHL I never have these problems.

At least around here UPS does leave a slip to sign and will even accept a
note for a signed delivery receipt. You can also tell the driver things
like put it in the cooler. Also we can pick them up at night at the UPS
distribution center. I have done it several times. Perhaps it is the
attitude of the workers in various areas that is different?
