While the adhesive is probably the root of the problem, there are
occasional QuickSets that make the adhesive problem hard to avoid.
You know the protective paper over the adhesive has two little "ears"
to pull it off? The adhesive circle itself is not supposed to have
those ears, but I've gotten a couple of sets that do. If the
adhesive disk is not perfectly circular trim the excess adhesive off
before trying to insert. That will reduce the adhesive buildup on
the serter.
