My own perspective is that Diabetes Interview is the best consumer publication
on diabetes around, and the price is a bargain even if your own Doctor has
nothing to do with it.  Diabetes Interview is usually more current and
frequently has information that never even makes it to the ADA's Forecast.  A
good example was a small article on a South Korean study on the impact of iron
supplements reducing the annoying, dry cough sometimes caused by ACE
inhibitors (relevant to anyone with DM who takes them) which appeared about 2
years ago, but which never made it to the ADA publication.  I have
discontinued Forecast for its complete lack of relevance to me, with far too
much focus on diet, recipes and weight loss, none of which are areas of
concern for me.  Although I like Countdown by JDRF for its focus on
cure-specific research, its focus is exclusively on Type 1, thus may not be
relevant to all people with DM, and it is published far less frequently

Just my own opinion ...
