I would like to quote a small paragraph from "A Core Curriculum For Diabetes
Education" (in the Third edition it's on page 197).

"the independent influence dietary protein on blood glucose levels on
individuals with well-controlled type 1 and type 2 diabetes appears to be
minimal.  Even if approximately 50% of protein is converted to glucose, it
appears to not have much influence on overall blood glucose levels"

Is there any reason why the professionals try to deny this, by fooling
people to think that protein is not being converted into glucose?
