I think the dietician is right - almost,
because the fact that you (and me) can enter Hypogl. after 
bolusing with fat meal and then go fast high can be interpreted
as conversion of the protein to Carbs! Protein (as far as I know)
is complex Carb that will rise the Blood Sugar after 3, 4 hours

The dietician I spoke with the other day was emphatic about the fact that 
almost no protein is actually converted to carbohydrates.  She said what is 
actually happening is that any fat causes insulin resistance by slowing the 
absorption of any carbohydrates that are consumed with the meal.
