[IP] Re: Feeling out of control

Having a baby is a MAJOR life event. It changes things forever, not
least your body. Depression following a birth is not uncommon and yours
could easily be due to hormones. Plus you have so much else to contend
with--a new life that depends on you, having to return to work, diabetes etc
etc etc.
It is difficult for many mums to cope with all the demands of an infant,
never mind having to deal with blood sugars too.
Ask for help from wherever you can. But don't let your family make you
feel inadequate. You are the Mum and will know best. And every mother has
been a first time mother--you learn as you go along and do the best you can.
