This is a repeat of a previous experiment with encapsulated  pig 
islets. The problems encountered in the original experiment have not 
been addressed in the current article.
specifically what to do when the encapsulated cells die -- lifetime 
is limited, and how to replace cells or remove the capsules -- 

This is an interesting idea if the above problems can be solved. It 
is much like reloading an implanted pump but with a longer period 
between loads.
