I think the confusion is that Ruth used tape that came with the Sofsets, to
tape down a Silhouette.  The necessity is that she wanted to be able to
disconnect.  The plastic button on the sils is the disconnect.  

Otherwise you are right.  With Sofsets why bother.

(Who normally uses sils without tape but is using a microsofset right now
which has an "army" tent on it. (Day 3 second layer of tape.)  :)

Can someone explain to me the necessity of the hole in the middle of the
tape for a SofSet? I mean NECESSITY. What's wrong with tent-style?
