Re: [IP] Re: insulin-pumpers-digest V3 #216

My insurance company approved my strips last month, the Dr wrote script for
100, that's not enough. I got him to up it to 200 and they wouldn't cover
them.. I asked the pharmacist to try for 1/2 that amount, and it still came
back, not covered. I asked him for one of the refills from last month's
script for 100, and it went right through..... Gotta love the insurance
companies.

Of course, 2 months before the pump, I got my insulin but they would not ok
the syringes because I "also" got insulin at the same time...... now how
was I supposed to take it?

They paid for my pump and supplies, but wouldn't let my primary start me on
it, even tho he has 15 other pumpers he has started. I had to see an Endo
and go into the hospital, (which was fine with me) but by the time they
finally "hooked me up" they had spent twice as much as if they just let my
primary do it.

I am fed up, but switching is not an option. Bummed.....
