To elaborate some more on the US version of Smarties:  They are small disks,
with concave sides, about 3/8 of an inch in diameter (about 1 cm).  They are a
pressed powder sort of candy, not the clear, hard candy like a lifesaver.
They have a tangy citrus flavor and disslolve easily in your mouth, not in
your hand :-)  Each roll has 15 little disks, and you must eat the whole roll
to get the 5 grams of carb.  

Vive la difference!
