[IP] MiniMed 507C

Here is the relevent portion of the text of the MiniMed announcement about
the 507C:
     Sylmar, California, June 11, 1998 --- MiniMed Inc. (Nasdaq: MNMD)
announced today that it will introduce its latest model insulin infusion
pump, the model 507C, at the annual meeting of the American Diabetes
Association in Chicago on June 13-15, 1998. The 507C has approximately 90
days worth of memory, and works with the MiniMed "Com-Station," a data
communications instrument, to download this stored data to a PC for further
analysis by either the pump user or the clinician. The 507C offers
additional features, such as unique multiple bolus options including the
new Dual Wave bolus, an alarm review feature and a more flexible basal rate
capability to assist the user in better managing their diabetes. 

Commenting on this new product, Terrance H. Gregg, President and Chief
Operating Officer stated, "With its increased memory, the 507C will partner
nicely with the information provided from MiniMed's anticipated continuous
glucose sensor. The 507C provides an exciting opportunity for MiniMed as we
look at the future of diabetes information management and improving
diabetes care."
