Cindy, I'm a beer drinker (even make my own), and most good beers have
about 12 - 15 g of carbohydrate. So I just bolus a unit for each beer.
If you are worried about carbohydrates and still want to drink, there's
always champagne :-) which has negligible carbos.

I forgot my most important question, do you count beer in your meal time
carbs? I read in Pumping that insulin is not given for alcohol but wasn't
