Re: [IP] CGM users: how often do you test?

I am a Freestyle navigator user. It requires 5 calibrations in 5 days.
Often, I test no more than that.
Sometimes I will do additional tests when I have persistent lows or persistent
highs.
This will tell me whether I have "turned the corner" or not.
The Navigator does tend to under-react to highs. (eg, I will stay at a 220
reading for a while even after correction. I may get a finger stick of 280)
This typically happens after a high fat meal.
Often my calibrations are within 5-10 points.

When I am without my CGM I test 8-10 times a day.

I find that I test whenever I see a change in BG. The Dexcom has worked
wonders
for me but I actually test more often than without it.

For those of you who have and use a CGM,
Has the number of BG tests per day changed?
if so, significantly or only slightly?
I am guessing that most CGM users test
1) when prompted to do so
2) when they do not agree with the CGM
3) when they get an alarm (high low, etc)
4) when doing unusual behavior (exercise, traveling, birthday cake, long road
trips, illness.......)
