The only thing I can say from personal experience is that being on Medicare
and
the pump is that I must see my endo every 3 months.  As far as strips go I
must
have a 30 day log every 6 months.   I think they check with the doctor in
between for a "progress" check as to how you're doing?  I was told this
but not
sure the office was contacted.

I saw my primary care physician today and she said that Medicare is
monitoring everything diabetics do and that if you don't comply they won't
pay.  Does anyone have the complete list of what they are going to be
monitoring?  I think we already talked about strips.



My wife went to a specialist who has the new medical software.  He said what
a pain.  He had to enter all of his diagnoses and codes into the system
before we could check out because it determines the co pay.  He said they
are monitoring them very closely.  He said it is time consuming it actually
took us more time to get out of the office than he spent with my wife.
