When a child who is still growing develops T1. They have a difficult time 
growing because unless the diabetes is well controlled, they don't gain weight 
and don't absorb the nutrients they need to grow. They have a constantly 
 changing situation as they grow. It is more difficult to control for a child
of the changes. A full grown adult, doesn't have the problems to the same
