RE: [IP] transition from lantus to pump



The trainer was here yesterday, at which time we started. It's totally
different than injections and, from what I've seen in the last 24+ hours,
far superior. We started with a .7 basal rate and then decreased to .6 but
it was apparent by 12:30 this morning that it needed a little more tweaking.
Rather than to awaken the poor trainer at such an ungodly hour I just
decreased it to
.5 and awoke to a beautiful blood fasting of 112. It's been great all day
and I had breakfast with only a slight rise in glucose. In my short time on
the pump....I am totally impressed with
it. I have mixed feelings here.....I actually feel great, but I'm not used
to staying so stable.....odd feeling actually. Should have done this a long,
long time ago, like most people
feel.

Hi Margo, I didnt know you started your pump today. Congrats.  How come you
did it  without a trainer?  How do you like it and how do you feel?
