[IP] RE: hypo last night

1.  if going low because of a missed meal, then  the basal rate is too high 
likely starting an hour before the BG started dropping (if using Humalog or 
2.  When was your last renal function test/24 hr urine test? If kidney 
function is even slightly decreased, then you won't get rid of circulating 
insulin, and this can lead to more low BGs.
3.  Ice cream, with its higher fat content is OK to prevent a low from 
happening later on, but isn't a good choice to treat a low that is occurring 
"now", because of the fat content, that doesn't release the sugars form the 
ice cream.
Pure glucose is a better choice. 

Please investigate these issues.
