RE: [IP] Keeping Insulin Cool

I use to worry about keeping my NPH insulin cool, however sonce going on the
pump and switching to humalog I don't worry about it at all. The insulin in
the tube of your pump around 95 degrees since it's next to you body. In fact
I just check with a infared temperature indicator in the resivor in my pump
that has been in my pocket all morning, in a 75 degree office and it read 91
degrees, I'm sure it would be warmer if I was outside. I've heard from
others that Humalog or Novalog don't go bad in the heat because they are
synthetic, someone correct me here if I'm mistaken.

Bonne,

I am in NC too, Lexington. I usually just keep mine out of the
refrigerator, but in doors where it is air conditioned. I never leave it
in my car. The bottle I am using I keep in a small pouch that came with
my MM507 pump. I keep the things necessary to do a set change and the
bottle of insulin. If you are needing to keep it with you and you are
outdoors, I have heard a lot of people on the list talk about a "Frio."
