Reading all the posts about "disabilities", I think it's clear 
that we have a typical case of one word being used for 
different things.

There's "disabled", as in, can't do certain things.

Then there's "disabled", as in, need to take some 
special/additional actions to remain functional, a definition 
that we get into via the ADA.

I'm not "disabled" (first definition) in that I can walk, run, 
have a good attendance record at work, etc. I *am* "disabled" 
(second definition) in that I need to take time to test BGs, 
eat somewhat regularly, see doctors, etc...
