Yes i do test his fingers when concerned that he may be low and we did and
do test the sides of his fingers. I tested myself on the forearm and found
it to be less painful i think he likes it for that reason too. It  is
difficult because he is so young and doesn't always have the words to tell
us how he is feeling.
