[IP] RE: Here we go again

I am sorry and am probably going to get in trouble for saying this and letting
my big mouth get the best of me but ........  How can you have a child with a
sugar of 449 out running around and not check them IMMEDIATELY for ketones ?
She should be resting, and pushing fluids.  DKA can start in just a few
hours!!!!  I don't know about anyone elses child but with mine if her sugar is
high (over 180) than exercise can have the effect of raising not lowering her
blood sugars.  So I always keep a close watch on her numbers while exercising,
and I ALWAYS take the foil wrapped strips to test for ketones with me, or the
precision xtra meter that checks blood ketones if we won't be near a
