Yes, they do. It's called the Glycemic Index and is relatively new in the
field of Nutrition care and Diabetes.... A book out right now is called the
Glucose Reveloution and is available from the Diabetes Mall. for about 12
bucks and some change...While this is a good thing to read up on, The fact
of different GI levels still promotes variety in the foods we eat and by
being a bit more familier with the Glycemic Index, we are able to make
adjustments in our insulin and exercise in order to effectively deal with
the post prandial BG levels.
   I have forgotten  the author's name and wish I could remember it....But
the title is the Glucose Revolution and it's at the Diabetes Mall.
